Annine was an Honored Matres who had joined Murbella's leadership group just after the Battle of Junction during the Return of the Honored Matres, but could not bring herself to merge with the Bene Gesserit to form the New Sisterhood. A year later, Annine had been captured by the Sisterhood, and clandestinely brought to the audience hall to face judgment in front of Murbella's throne. Not showing any mercy, and wishing to make Annine an example of disloyalty and disunity; Murbella thrust a dagger instantly into Annine's throat, and killed her.
