Gidran Balbrick was a human male, and a Dark Side adept who served as one of the Emperor's Hands during the Galactic Civil War. In 2 ABY, Darth Vader was consumed with finding Luke Skywalker. Having sensed a trickling shift in the Force originating from the fledgling Jedi Uklaih Zandura, Balbrick was dispatched by Emperor Palpatine to locate and eradicate the young Jedi in training. Balbrick was finally defeated in a showdown on Orpenhalz III, under the combined strengths of Zandura and his trainer, a Jedi Master in exhile named Celia Magus.
