Old is a temporal spell, and one of only few of that category that are actually damaging. The spell causes a status ailment of the same name, which, while active, means that the affected target's level is reduced, lowering their stats. However, some enemies are immune to the spell and some even absorb it, gaining levels from it. The latter prominently applies to enemies of the Dragon type.
