Dragon is a monster type in ADOM. The category consists solely of monsters represented by the letter 'D' or 'W' (i.e. only dragons or wyrms); so it is not difficult to determine whether or not any given monster falls into this category. Surprisingly (giant) dragon turtles are not considered to be dragons.
