The 4143 Snap Election took place following twelve months of attempted negotiations to form a Government, neither alliances had sufficient seats to form minority adminstrations and informal talks with parties outside the alliances collapsed forcing the President to ask the then State Chancellor, Konstantin Wu, to call for an early election which was passed by the Council. The elections saw a record number of parties compete and the return of the Green Party following their disbandment before the 4142 Snap Election.
