The Service des incendies de Dollard-Des Ormeaux ceased to exist in 2002 with the amalgamation of the city of Dollard-Des Ormeaux with the City of Montréal. In 2006, the municipality regained its independence but the fire protection service remains under the agglomeration council. The station is now SIM Station 61. Starting in the late 1970s, the department began providing emergency medical services. This continued after Urgences-sante began operation in 1981 and continued until the department was dissolved in 2002. The department's Urgences-sante unit number was 820 (88-16 before 1983).
