Marin County was a county located in California on Earth. The north end of the Golden Gate Bridge, opposite the city of San Francisco, lay in Marin County. In an alternate timeline, the end of the Golden Gate Bridge had to be moved several hundred meters west of its previous location in Marin County due to John Frederick Paxton's attack on Starfleet.
