Maya Goldberg was a student who attended Degrassi Junior High School from September 1987 to June 1989 and later, Degrassi High School from September 1989 to June 1991. She was portrayed by Kyra Levy. Maya was born with Spina Bifida, confining her to a wheelchair. Despite her physical disability, she was a confident, ambitious, kind, and caring person who never let her disability stop her from enjoying her life to the fullest. She was best friends with Caitlin Ryan and also friends with Diana Economopoulos, Melanie Brodie and Kathleen Mead.
