Quake Blazer or Q-Blazer, also known as Danchien (断地炎? lit. "Severing Earth Flame") in Japan, is the special technique that Zero learns after defeating Mattrex in Mega Man X5. When the player presses DOWN on the D-Pad and the Attack Button while airborne, Zero turns the blade of his Z-Saber into fire and performs a downward thrust. When the flaming blade hits the ground, it produces an explosion, but the explosion seems to be only a visual effect. Strangely, this technique can even be used underwater. Axle the Red, Rangda Bangda W's blue eye component and X are all weak against this technique.
