The Tug module was used by Kuat Drive Yards construction dock workers to move finished starships into open space. Magnetically clamped to the bridge of the new ship and lacking any thruster engines of their own, tug modules were designed to use the engines of the ship that it was moving. Around 4 ABY, Ott Klemp and the Scavenger Squadron used tug modules in an attempt to save completed Imperial Navy warships from Kuat of Kuat's final explosive plan for KDY.
