The National Capital Region is the federal district of the Republic of Atlion including the Atlionese capital of Luminaire and surrounding urban and rural communities. The term National Capital Region is also used to refer to the Luminaire Metropolitan Area, which extends past the boundaries of the federal district into the neighboring states of Broker, Intima, and Sagesse. The National Capital Region was defined by the Senate of Atlion's 1800 National Capital Act, defining a federal capital district free of state influence.
