The name Riesstiu was held by the emperors of the Taiidan Empire after the Exile of the Hiigarans. The first member of the Imperial line was Riesstiu I, a Taiidan admiral who crowned himself emperor after the original royal family was killed during the Hiigaran orbital bombing of the planet Taiidan. The last emperor of the Riesstiu line was Riesstiu IV the Second.
