Giovanni "Gio" Carchedi (born 10 November, 1983 in Lincoln) is a English / Italian footballer who notably played for Grimsby Town . Carchedi was released by Nottingham Forest as a junior and it was from there that he joined Grimsby Town . Gio never made an appearance for Grimsby due to constant injury problems. Following trials with York City and Gainsborough Trinity , Gio went on to play non league football for Ossett Town , Armthorpe Welfare and now plays for Lincoln United .
