Numerous awards and decorations were used to recognize meritorius service and accomplishments of members of the military as well as civilian subjects of the Star Kingdom and Star Empire of Manticore. Ribbons and sleeve stripes rather than the bulkier medals were worn on the usual uniform of both officers and enisted personel.
