After Zim saw a sci-fi movie in which an alien invasion fails due to the Earth's germs, he is concerned enough to investigate about these germs. He then searched for the microgoggles on the planet Callnowia, a planet for buying various items, which are then sent via meteor. Zim tried a free 5-second demo, and directly afterward, he ordered a pair because he was so terrified of seeing the germs everywhere. After Germs, they are never mentioned or seen again.
