Joanna Lannister was the wife and cousin of Tywin Lannister. The daughter of Jason Lannister and his wife Lady Marla Prester. She was the mother of Cersei , Jaime and Tyrion Lannister and died before the start of the series giving birth to Tyrion. Lady Joanna was very influential on her husband, who was devastated when she died and blamed Tyrion for her death. During her youth she was a lady-in-waiting to Rhaella Targaryen.
