The Hacking Emergency Response Team (HERT) is a rapid intervention force that can act forcefully in crisis situations where digital investigation is necessary. The reason for HERT is the vulnerability of national infrastructure to attacks from outside. Deployment of the team include possible threats to energy security, financial transactions, telecommunications and hostage cases.
