Philip J. Fry (c. 1974, New York) is the protagonist of animated sci-fi sitcom Futurama, and is voiced by Billy West. He is usually referred to by his family name, "Fry". Fry was briefly the Emperor of Trisol after drinking Emperor Bont, who he thought was water. He wrote the Royal Oath on his arm and recited it at his coronation, after which he was crowned Fry the Solid. When the three suns of Trisol set it became obvious Bont hade survived inside Fry. Bont's people decided to free him using the Juice-O-Mat 3000 which would kill Fry in the process. The rest of the crew managed to cry Bont out of Fry and Bont regained his position as Emperor.
