The USS Saladin (NCC-2091) was an Excelsior-class Starfleet starship in service with the Starfleet Third Fleet during the 24th century, under the command of Captain Russ Pravelt. (Star Trek: Pioneer) The ship was named after Saladin, a 10th century Sultan of Egypt and Syria. In 2381, the Saladin was destroyed while buying time for the evacuation of the planet Tulop.
