Captain Hi Judson takes his crew of Space Patrol officers to deal with piracy between the Mars and Jupiter. The space pirates have been using the asteroid belt to ambush "Jupitor-Mars transport" ships. Tommy Lawson brings along his lucky rabbits foot to give them extra luck. The third officer is Bill Frankman. Captain Judson tricks the space pirates into pursuing the Space Patrol ship so fast that the pirate vessels create a swirling vortex that traps them until more Space Patrol come and arrest the pirates. Lawson attributes part of the mission's success to his lucky rabbit's foot charm.
