The Galactic Alliance of Free Species is an aliance between the Neo Covenant, the UEG and the Asiaguard Confederation. The GAFS as an territory of over 85,000 light years encompassing much of the Milky way. The expansion of the territory was possible to studies and retroengenering of Forerrunner technoligy as well as the use of the galactic relay used by the Asiaguard Confederation. In the 2620's they fought in a lousing war agaist The Cabal. Outgunned by this enemy, they have tryed to protect the forerunner infrastructure.
