The longest running dynasty in English history, running from 1154 to 1485. For much of this period, the King of England was also Duke of Normandy and ruled several other places -- the first three Kings didn't speak English at all, and the first four identified themselves as French, or at least Angevin, first. The Wars of the Roses kicked off towards the end of this, so monarchs changed back and forth a bit.
