Isawa Tadashi was an Earth shugenja of the Phoenix Clan and the most powerful among the Cult of the Destroyer's inner circle, the only shugenja to have embraced the Destroyer's tenets thus far. His magic allowed the Cult to create the Temple of the Destroyer that was hidden in the jungle's depths of a small island near the Mantis Islands. In 1133 his cell was destroyed by a group of samurai acting under orders from Otomo Banu.
