The RGT series is a line of solid body electric guitars produced by Hoshino Gakki and sold under the Ibanez brand. The first models in the series were introduced in 2002. While considered part of the RG series, the RGT models are distinguished by their neck-through-body construction. RGT models are generally of a higher quality due to the precision it takes to construct neck-thru designs. The final models in the RGT line were discontinued after 2010. However the neck-through RG-body design lives on (as of 2016) in the RGIT20FE/ RGIT27FE/ RGIT28FE models which are part of the Iron Label line.
