Nacoya is the nurse, and later the First Adviser, of Lady Mara of the Acoma. Nacoya was Mara of the Acoma's Mother of her heart as she had raised Mara because Mara's mother had died in child birth. Nacoya played a major role in The Empire Trilogy.
