The unnamed Doctor was called to 11 Coronation Street in May 2009, shortly after Colin Grimshaw had suddenly passed away. With police officers DC Weller and another colleague already in attendance, the doctor told Colin's daughter Eileen that he had most likely suffered another stroke. Having confirmed that he was Colin's regular GP and had seen his patient sometime during the previous week, the doctor had no reservations about filling in the death certificate and advised Eileen to get in contact with a Funeral Director.
