Roughly 3.5 miles at its widest, Lake Whitman is a wonderful spot for fishing and swimming in warmer months or ice skating in the winter. It feeds two rivers, the Kahlo to its north, and the Waterhouse to its south. Parts of the lake are lined with homes that have small piers while the rest of the surrounding area is natural vegetation. There are currently no boats, either modern or historical.
