Trish Brooks-Benson was a journalist for the Weatherfield Gazette whose words appeared under the by-line of “Gal About Town”. She turned up to cover the opening night of The Joinery for her column and was wined and dined (and flattered) by Leanne Battersby and Nick Tilsley. At the end of the evening, she enthused to the pair about the night she had had and they looked forward to a glowing review.
