The Hydra platebody is well known for its light weight (when compared to other plate metals) and high defence bonuses. It requires 75 Defence to wear and is one of the best platebodies in RuneScape. There is only three ways to obtain a Hydra platebody. The most easiest way is to buy it from another player or in the Grand Exchange for over 13 million gp, although simple, as the Hydra platebody is rare it is likely anyone would sell it. It can also be bought from Tenas Morve at north of Seers' Village but in a very high price of 14.5 million gp. The last way is a extremely rare drop (1 in 60 kills) from a lvl 492 Hydra in Brimhaven Dungeon where the steel dragons can be found.
