Freddy Alvarez was a Gunnery Sergeant and a Marine Recruiter who was the first victim of psychopathic sniper Kyle Hendricks. Major Dougherty described Alvarez as a "legend", a career recruiter who never missed a quota. This was largely due to Alvarez's "bait-and-switch" tactics, often promising things to recruits that he could never deliver on.
