Jordan Young is a former storyboard artist for The Simpsons who created the original character designs for the Drawn Together housemates. According to Drawn Together creators Dave Jeser and Matt Silverstein, while the show was still in the planning stages, Young approached them with the goal of becoming a writer. Jeser and Silverstein told Young that if he designed the show's characters for them, they would give him a job on the writing staff; both parties made good on their word.
