It takes a contrived first scene to tell us that this movie takes place in a solar system, just like ours, but it's not ours; it's a solar system that we emigrated to because Earth became so damned crowded. It's got inner planets, outer planets, and a warm and sunny sun, but not our sun. Oh — but instead of an asteroid belt, this solar system has a lunatic belt.
