Isowave (Isokyrian: ᛁᛋᛟᚹᚨᚠᛖ, Isowafe) is a subgenre of Vaporwave originating in Isokyria in 2010 around Pvini's Mortivi district. It is characterized by remixing retro songs from the 1980s and 90s while infusing cultural elements unique to Isokyria. Isowave music videos draw on the larger Vaporwave culture by including classical art, use of VCR font, fullwidth text, corporate logos, and vaguely melancholic themes.
