The Bestri-class, or Scout-class, was a type of scout that was utilized by the Bajorans in the early-to-mid-24th century for scouting and scientific research. This vessel's design was rooted in the ship-building traditions of Bajor. (ST:CCG: Deep Space Nine) Vessels of this class were considered to be one of the fastest and most reliable designs by the Bajorans. During the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor these vessels fell out of use as their parts were scavenged by the Bajoran Resistance to be fitted to more combat-orientated vessels. (ST:CCG: Second Edition)
