William "Bill" Edwards was a Manticoran citizen and an officer of the Royal Manticoran Navy. As an Ensign, he served as Admiral Adcock's flag lieutenant. (SI2) He began his career as one of Admiral Sonja Hemphill's assistants at the Bureau of Weapons. Holding the rank of Lieutenant Commander, he served as Admiral Gold Peak's staff communications officer for Battlecruiser Squadron 106 and later for the Tenth Fleet. (SI2)
