In the game, which is set in Green Hill Zone, the player controls Sonic using a single red button which makes him jump. Sonic will run automatically, leaving it up to the player to make Sonic jump over obstacles and land on platforms to earn points. After twenty points are earned, the speed and level will increase. There are four possible levels. Crashing into five obstacles in one level causes the game to end.
