Comics West was a comics show held at the National University of Ireland, Galway, on Saturday 12 November 2011. Organised by the NUIG Comic Book Society, it featured a comic and zine fair (stallholders including Sub City Galway, Atomic Diner, Hibernia Comics, Stephen Kearney, Martin Myler, Uproar Comics and Patrick Brown), a workshop on writing comics with Andrew Luke, a presentation on the science of superhero comics by the society's David Burdon, and a panel Q&A with Michael Carroll, Maura McHugh, Patrick Brown and Andrew Luke.
