Ferroseed lived in Reflection Cave and fell on Kyle's head, ensuing into a battle. Kyle fought and then caught Ferroseed. While in Alola, Kyle and his friends went the to trainer school in To School Where It All Begun, and used Ferroseed to battle Team Skull alongside Jon's Minior. After the battle Ferroseed evolved into Ferrothorn.
