The RG2527ZA features a basswood body bolted to a maple and wenge neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Other features include DiMarzio PAF pickups and an Edge Zero-7 tremolo bridge. This RG2727FZA which was also introduced in 2015 is very similar except that it has a flamed maple top. The RG2570ZA is a similar six-string model.
