The entirety of Sixth Crimson was killed after Shaiknam ordered the army into an ambush a scout had warned him about. Ividian died covering the army's retreat. Ividian was a close friend of Vikteren, who was distraught over his death. This was one of the incidents that lead to the revolt of the mages.
