Wol Jarletora is a major in the military of the Great Garmillas Empire, and a tactical officer stationed at the Pluto Frontline Base. Under the command of Colonel Walke Shultz, Jarletora was placed in charge of reflection satellite cannon operations, and planned the planet bombing of Earth. He served alongside Shultz in the command center of the Pluto base during the Second Battle of Pluto ("The Trap on All Sides"). When Shultz ordered a complete evacuation to escape the Earth battleship Yamato's bombardment of the base, Jarlertora took command of one of four surviving ships. He ordered a suicide run at Yamato to buy time for Shultz and Major Guelf Ganz to warp to safety, and was killed when Yamato destroyed his ship with shock cannon fire ("The Sun Sets on Pluto").
