While the detective questioned Claire about a woman named "Joan Hart", whom Claire had been seen with, Officer Westly looked around Claire's hospital room, but did not find Kate, who was hiding behind a door marked "No Admittance - Authorized Personnel Only". Seemingly satisfied, Officer Westly and the detective then left Claire's hospital room.
