CT-43/76-9155, nicknamed "Jorir"—which meant "to carry" or "to bear" in Mando'a—was one of the clones of the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett who were grown on the planet Kamino to serve in the Grand Army of the Republic. Jorir and all of his fellow clones were, like Fett, Human males who stood 1.83 meters tall. During the Clone Wars, Jorir served the Galactic Republic as a clone trooper major in Squad Seven, a unit of cross-trained clone specialists created by the Alpha-class Advanced Recon Commando Alpha-17. While Squad Seven was often led in battle by Commanders CC-2224 and Davijaan, Jorir was responsible for the squad's day-to-day operations.
