The 2007 Subway Fresh Fit 500 was a Nextel Cup (now Sprint Cup) event held at Phoenix International Raceway on April 21, 2007. Jeff Gordon got lucky, staying on the lead lap despite pitting when a caution came out. Gordon then inherited the lead when everyone else pitted and then held off a thrilling charge by Tony Stewart for the victory. It was Gordon's 76th career victory, tying him with Dale Earnhardt. Gordon paid tribute by driving around the track with a large "3" flag. Gordon also expanded his points lead, now 74 points ahead of Jeff Burton (13th). Stats {|- style="text-align: center;"
