Binyan Engelman was an Andermani citizen and an officer of the Imperial Andermani Navy. Holding the rank of Korvettenkapitän, he served as Executive Officer of the heavy cruiser IANS Gangying. While his ship was on patrol in the Silesian Confederacy, Engelman reported a Code Seventeen from the Andermani freighter Karawane. (HH10)
