The Liberal Democratic Party of the United Islands leadership election of 2009 will take place on Friday, October 2. The party's 137 parliamentary representatives and, potentially, 62,000 rank-and-file members, will choose one candidate to serve as the party's official federal parliamentary leader. The candidate elected will become Leader of the Opposition in the Georgeland Parliament.
