Alena Tabor is the daughter of well-known New York architect, Karel Tabor. She lives with her father and older brother, John, near the village of Hawk River, in Adirondack Mountains. After alleged werewolf attacks in the area, the locals became suspicious of the Tabors, because of their family history. Fearing for the mental heath of her brother, who had recently suffered a breakdown, and was couping well with the werewolf rumours, Alena traveled to Bayport to ask for the help of investigators Frank and Joe Hardy. The Hardys were successful in solving the mystery, with help along the way from Alena.
