Players often play the game simply to get sacred oil, which sells for a high price, aside from being used to create pyre logs for cremating shades and vyre corpses at the Columbarium. Players also may turn serum 207 into serum 208 at the temple. The intended primary reward from this minigame is the shade key. This key unlocks the various chests found in the Shade Catacombs, which can generate significantly valuable rewards. See the section below on unlocking chests.
