The Peacock family was a family in Home, Pennsylvania that had lived on their own since the American Civil War. Their house had no running water or electricity and they grew their own food. It was also widely held that the family engaged in inbreeding for generations, resulting in horrific disfigurements and birth defects. Peacock Mother also mentioned that neither she or other family members feel physical pain, which may have been true considering their apparent insensitivity to body injuries sustained during their confrontations with the town's sheriff and FBI agents.
