Friends Are There is the first opening theme from Garfield and Friends. It was used in the first two seasons of the show. The theme begins with Garfield tap dancing on a fence and turning on a victrola (with an announcer declaring "Ladies and gentlemen, Garfield and Friends!"). Throughout the theme, Garfield and the U.S. Acres gang fight over the screen. At the end, the "Garfield" title card is shown, with Booker writing and underlining "and Friends" underneath it. Garfield then pops out of the square, where the theme ends. Garfield says a line, then waves his finger for a final note.
